AIM Liberation March

IMAGEN representatives participated in the annual march on February 27. Marchers, from four starting points representing the cardinal directions, each covered 10 miles and converged at Wounded Knee to participate in a commemorative ceremony.

The march took place on the 46th anniversary of the start of the 71-day occupation led by the American Indian Movement, or AIM. The occupation brought worldwide attention to the struggles of Native Americans.
